Today Ms.Chavez’s class went on a virtual field trip around Texas.They learned about the six flags that flew over Texas and then created their own flag. They learned about the Texas Capitol, Waco Mammoth National Museum and The Inner Space Caverns. The class also had a Mineral Dig Activity were we searched and learned about different types of rocks.


The 2021 Lamesa High School Graduation Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 28th at 8:00pm at Tornado Stadium. There will be no COVID restrictions at the ceremony and seating will be open. In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be rescheduled for Saturday, May 29th at 10:00am at Tornado Stadium. We look forward to honoring our graduates for all of their accomplishments! 🎓

We had a Math Fiesta in Mrs. Benitez’s class today! Students worked on adding and subtracting decimals to keep their skills strong for 6th grade! We also brought Mexican food and snacks to enjoy while working!


Help us send off Tornado Softball as they head to Abilene to the Regional Semifinals! The send-off will begin at South Elementary on Friday at 11:40am. We invite all parents and community members to line North 14th and show our support! Go Tors! 🌪🥎
